2. Be Consistent
Keep a check on doggy’s behavior and correct it whenever he misbehaves. But be consistent while you respond to bad behavior because inconsistency can make your dog confused and the learning process can be affected.
For example, your pup jumps when you prepare him for food, and you command him to stop. Then he begins to jump on neighbors, and you keep quiet. This will make him confuse when or when not to jump next time.

3. Distract to Draw Attention
If you find your canine friend involved in an unwanted activity and putting a deaf ear to your orders, then make a loud noise of any kind, a yell, whop on the table or anything that can distract the dog. You can use this trick to distract him from the action and draw his attention to you.
4. Redirect
Right after saying no, say sit. This gives your dog something else to do other than the bad thing. I’ve also found it effective just to say sit to your dog. Usually, when they sit, they can no longer do whatever it is you didn’t like.
As soon as you say ‘NO’ in a loud and clear voice, give a ‘SIT’ command. Once you’ve drawn his attention by the no a full NO command, give him something to do directly. A simple NO might also be confusing if given alone. So, it is a better idea to give and redirect command so that a dog has the order to follow and a reason to stop the unwanted behavior.
5. Show Dominance
To make a command followed, sometimes we need to remind the pet that which is the boss here. To reinforce this, push the puppy over for a brief period, onto his back and lean over him. Be gentle and show no sign of anger, this show your dominance over him.
6. Isolation
Dogs are social beings; they cannot take your ignorance for long. Use this method to teach discipline. Give your command and then if he does not follow, ignore him completely. He will soon return to you to get your attention and this time you make the command and get desired results.
