As we know that most of our friends are chocolates lover and loves to eat a plenty of chocolates in a day.  Chocolate especially the dark variety consists of theobromine that’s is harmful to your pet dog.  As this substance is present in all varieties of chocolates but its more common in darker chocolates.

Dogs are not able to metabolize theobromine as quickly as humans can so this is not good for you pet dog.  This can leads to a buildup of that toxic substance in their bodies. This can cause vomiting, diarrhea, intense thirst and disrupted heart rhythms. It could be fatal in some cases.

Many vets recommend to make a dog throw up if they eat poisonous food and I recommend you to consult a vet first before applying the techniques to induce the dog to vomit.

Garlic and onions:

Garlic and onions are also toxic for your dog. This type of food include shallots, chives, leeks, and others.

Ingesting these types of food will lead to the damage of their red blood cells in a situation known as hemolytic anemia. This can lead to the breakdown of red blood cells.

Symptoms of hemolytic anemia are vomiting, breathlessness and weakness. In this case, you should give proper treatment to your dog. If you didn’t treat your dog well it might collapse from the lack of oxygen as the red blood cells are not able to carry sufficient oxygen around the body.
